The Colville Business Council has charged this division with preserving, promoting and revitalizing our languages, cultures and cultural resources. Through recording, carefully preserving and telling the stories of our elders (captikl), tribal members and cultural properties, the Cultural Preservation Division will achieve these objectives.
Our culture, language and history are the most important resource we have, and it is our responsibility to pass this knowledge on to our coming generations. We will tell our stories through audio recordings, visual maps, interactive movies and many other mediums to revitalize of our rich cultures present on the Colville Indian Reservation.
