Wood permits can still be obtained at the San Poil Forestry, Inchelium Forestry, and Forest Administration offices.
Please note: Resale permits can only be obtained at the Forest Administration office in Nespelem at the Lucy Covington Government Center.
The Lucy F. Covington Government Center will be closed in observance of the Indigenous People’s Day. Monday Oct 13, 2025 from 7:00 - 5:30pm.
Social Services will also be closed. Adult Protective Services (APS), you can go online at LetsEndElderAbuse.c m or call 1-877-734-6277. In the case of an emergency, please dial 9-1-1. calls regarding the Emergency Financial Assistance Loan program, please contact our main line at (509) 634-2397.

Public Works will be CLOSED on Monday, October 13, 2025 in observance of the Indigenous Day Holiday. This includes all of the following departments;
Public Works Main Building
Public Works Building Permits and Inspections
Public Works Water/WasteWater Program
Public Works Solid Waste Program - No Curbside Garbage Pickup
Public Works Recycling Program
Public Works Facility Maintenance Program

Nespelem Community Center will be closed as follows for memorial services: 10/9/25 Thursday - closing at 5:00pm. 10/10/25 Friday - closed for memorial services. 10/11/25 Saturday - closed - closed for memorial services. 10/12/25 Sunday - closed - closed for memorial services. 10/13/25 Monday - will be open from 10:30am to 8:00pm. 10/14/25 Tuesday - will resume normal working hours.
Per capita payments are funds strictly from the Tribes own resources and are primarily generated from the sale of timber and wood products.
